After unboxing your Friends of Hue smart switch and dimmer, for example a Senic switch, open the Philips Hue app and follow these steps:

The first step of your journey in the Philips Hue System: installing the Philips Hue app.
After installing the Philips Hue app, you will be invited to follow a few simple steps to configure your privacy settings.
The app is installed on your phone? It’s now time to set up a Philips Hue Bridge and pair your Philips Hue light bulbs.

Connect the app to the Hue Bridge
Your light bulb should show in your light setup list. You can now configure it and add it to a room.
Can’t detect the bulb? You can simply unscrew or unplug your lamp before putting it back in. Then, click add light at the top of the list. The light bulb should now show up. Another option is to add the light using the bulb’s serial number.
From this point, you can fully configure your switch, from its name to the scenes or rooms it controls.
Now that you’ve connected your Philips Hue system and your smart switch, it’s time to have fun! You can keep the Philips Hue app suggested settings for your Friends of Hue switch and dimmer or choose to personalize it.
After you’ve finished connecting your Friends of Hue to the Hue app, you’re offered the options to keep the suggested settings. If you chose to control only one room with the switch, these settings are pretty simple:
Even if you first chose to keep the settings suggested by the Hue app, you can always configure your smart switch settings later.
To do so, go to Settings > Accessory Setup and select the name of your smart switch or dimmer.
From there, you can assign actions to each button. These actions can affect one single light bulb, a smart plug connected to several light bulbs or a room.
You can for example choose to control the lights of your entire office with the top left part of your switch and the lamp right next to your desk with the top right part of your switch. Perfect to change ambience throughout your working day!
